Hey! I’m Amber Morgan, an aspiring author specialising in mystery, crime and young adult fiction. I mostly write novels and short stories, and occasionally articles, scripts, journalism, songs and poetry.
I want to share my writing journey to encourage other aspiring authors from anywhere to do the same. As beginners or more advanced writers, it is vital to have a community to both critically analyse our work and also build confidence!
Here’s a little more about me:
I am a published author with pieces of my work in two of the First Story anthologies. Some of my journalism and article work is included in the West Nottinghamshire College newsletter. I work to professional standards and I am dedicated to editing every piece to its best potential.
I have completed my first novel, Ashcliffe, which is based on a sociopath that seeks revenge on his brother due to a long-time vendetta. He will do just about anything to get what he wants, including murder. Crime is not a common occurrence in a small town like Ashcliffe, so when young women start to disappear without a trace, rumours begin to spread around town. However, as time passes by, the murders become old news. Straight-A student Kate and mute Ashleigh have limited time to uncover the town’s crimes before they become the next victims. However, little do they know that the unknown sociopath is as close to them as family. Some know more than they are willing to speak of.

Currently, I am working on my second novel, The Framed Painter, which is based on a scenario where the main character is being framed for crimes that she obviously did not commit, although things begin to spin in the wrong direction and she finds herself in the middle of a deadly game.
The feeling of creation. Every time I write, I create a new world. The possibilities of new worlds are endless, so my writing capabilities are endless. Always be expecting more.
